A Leetle Bit Worried . . .

So I'm making a webcomic in a genre in which I am very inexperienced, namely, the sci-fi genre. I am worried about this primarily for two reasons:

1) I cannot draw realistic looking machinery to save my life.

2) I have no real knowledge about how machinery works and thus cannot invent my own designs of machines to save my life.

Obviously, these are serious problems that must be rectified, but I'm not really sure how. Maybe I should go rooting through my old 'How Things Work' books and try to find some bulldozers or something, but even then, I'm not sure how to find any resources on how to design sci-fi weaponry and androids. Oh well. I'll figure something out.

Maybe I should just stare Doug Chiang's art until my eyeballs fall out of my head.

What's With All the Lighthouses?

Funnily enough, the first thing I put on this blog was a slideshow displaying photos of lighthouses I have never seen.

It's a mystery to myself as to why I did it. It's not like I frequently go down to the seashore to look for any sinking ships! I didn't consciously think about what I was doing even as I added it to my gadgets; it just kind of appeared there, and I thought 'okay' and went on to write this entry all about it. Strange.

Hopefully I will be uploading something worthwhile eventually. In the meantime I will be trying to figure out what my brain was up to as I was scrolling through the gadgets page. :)
